NATIONAL INITIATIVE LAUNCHED TO INCREASE COLLEGE ACCESS AND CAREER READINESS FOR 100,000 LOW-INCOME STUDENTS
On November 6, 2011, Public Education Network convened influential education leaders and other key stakeholders from across the country for a National Conference in Washington, D.C. The conference theme was The American Revolution: College and Career Readiness for All, and addressed related topics on data, practice, policy, advocacy, public engagement, leadership, and global workforce.

The goals of the conference were to: (1) define the key pillars of college and career readiness issues; (2) focus on strategic program and other interventions to help ensure every child will be successful; and, (3) highlight practical applications of this work from across the country. The event also offered many networking opportunities among participants.
